An exhibition catalogue for the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts annual show, issued in Montreal in 1899 by the Art Association of Montreal for exhibition visitors and buyers. Halftone plates reproduce members' landscape paintings — wooded pasture, cattle at a ford, rail fences, cloud banks over a distant town — printed in soft green ink, giving designers hazy tonal backdrops and rural silhouettes.
