An auction sale catalogue issued by dealer B. Max Mehl in Fort Worth, Texas, in 1922 for the James Ten Eyck collection of rare coins and medals, aimed at collectors and bidders. Halftone plates show obverses and reverses photographed against plain grounds and numbered by lot: draped-bust Liberty heads ringed with stars, dated 1796 through 1850, spread eagles with shields and wreaths, and small private gold pieces with stamped lettering; useful for circular emblems, profile heads, star borders and numeral-heavy type.
