Official illustrated catalogue of the fine-arts section of the 1883 Amsterdam international exhibition, edited by F. G. Dumas and published by L. Baschet in Paris for exhibition visitors and art buyers, with some 200 reproductions after artists' own drawings. The plates are pen-and-ink and crayon sketches, many signed, covering cottages and village lanes, cattle in flat marshland, woodcutters and farm workers, and crowded interiors, useful for dense hatched line texture and loose figure groups.
