Catalogue of Greek coins in the Hunterian collection, University of Glasgow
A scholarly catalogue of the Greek coins held by the Hunterian Museum, compiled by George Macdonald and published in Glasgow by James Maclehose and Sons in 1899 for numismatists and classical scholars. The plates are photographic pairings of obverse and reverse: profile heads of rulers and deities, Herakles in the lion skin, enthroned Zeus with eagle and sceptre, bulls, and Greek legends, all usable as circular relief motifs, medallic portrait silhouettes, or worn-metal texture.
