Catalogue of the imperial Byzantine coins in the British Museum
A scholarly numismatic catalogue of the British Museum's Byzantine coin collection, compiled by Warwick Wroth for the Trustees and published in London in 1908 for curators, collectors, and historians. The plates are photographic groups of bronze, silver, and gold coins laid out in rows against plain grounds, showing crowned imperial busts in profile and frontal view, cross and staircase reverses, and large Greek denomination letters M, K, and I surrounded by worn inscriptions — useful sources for monogram forms, circular lettering, and eroded relief texture.
