A Boston importer's trade catalogue of Japanese goods issued by N.M. Hatch in 1887, aimed at American retailers and household buyers shopping for imported decorative wares. Wood-engraved product cuts show bamboo waste baskets, tiered stands, and an embroidered fire screen with bird and blossoms, drawn in fine parallel hatching against blank grounds, alongside a four-panel comic strip of a fisherman and a grinning moon.
