Catalogue of the jewellery, Greek, Etruscan, and Roman, in the departments of antiquities, British Museum
A museum collection catalogue of ancient jewellery compiled by F. H. Marshall for the British Museum's Department of Greek and Roman Antiquities, printed in London in 1911 for curators, archaeologists, and collectors. The plates arrange necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings, gold plaques, and pendants in numbered rows against blank grounds, giving designers isolated silhouettes of wreath rosettes, coiled snake bangles, embossed relief panels, and beaded chains that cut out cleanly for ornament and pattern work.
