A 1910 gallery catalogue of the Wallace Collection's oil paintings and watercolours, printed for His Majesty's Stationery Office in London with short biographies of the painters, made for visitors and students of the collection. The plates are dark halftone reproductions of Dutch and French cabinet pictures: tavern and interior groups by candlelight, fete galante parties under trees, and a dancing woman in a wide skirt, useful for soft tonal grounds, silhouetted figure clusters, and period costume.
