A catalogue of one hundred impressions from engraved gems by the London gem-engraver Nathaniel Marchant, printed for J. Edwards in 1792 for collectors, antiquaries and patrons of neoclassical intaglios. The plates reproduce each gem as a figure group inside a plain oval border, drawn in fine outline with light stipple shading on a tinted ground, giving designers classical nudes, winged figures and ready-made oval cartouche frames, alongside a plain red cloth binding.
