Catalogue of ornamental casts in the possession of the Department, Third Division : the Renaissance styles
A government catalogue of plaster casts of Renaissance ornament, compiled by Ralph Nicholson Wornum for Britain's Department of Science and Art and published in London in 1854 as a reference for design students and art schools. Line engravings printed in red ink show pilaster panels, friezes and borders: candelabra stems, acanthus scrolls, urns, winged figures and rosettes, each framed for direct reuse.
