A privately printed catalogue of the paintings and sculpture owned by Chicago traction magnate Charles T. Yerkes at his New York house, issued in 1904 by A. W. Elson of Boston for the collector and his circle. The 110 photogravure plates reproduce old master and nineteenth-century canvases—candlelit tavern and kitchen groups, church interiors, riverside cottages—in warm sepia with deep shadow, useful for soft-edged tonal backgrounds and figure groupings.
