Catalogue of pictures, sculpture, drawings, etchings and lithographs done by Canadian artists in Canada : under the authority of the Canadian War Memorials Fund and exhibited for the first time at the Art Gallery of Toronto, from October 18th to November 12th, 1919.
An exhibition catalogue issued by the Canadian War Memorials Fund and the Art Gallery of Toronto in 1919, listing paintings, sculpture, drawings, etchings and lithographs made by Canadian artists during the First World War for gallery visitors in Toronto. Halftone plates reproduce tonal wartime scenes — biplanes over a destroyer at night, trench lines seen from the air, a dazzle-painted liner in dock, munitions workers under factory skylights — useful for grainy grey atmospheres, aerial viewpoints and camouflage pattern.
