An exhibition and sale catalogue issued by the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts for a Toronto benefit auction in December 1914, listing paintings and sculpture donated by Canadian artists to the wartime patriotic fund, for bidders and subscribers. Halftone plates reproduce oil landscapes in soft grey tones: shorelines, wind-bent trees, cloud banks, rough hillsides, useful as textured monochrome backgrounds and atmospheric vignettes.
