Catalogue of textiles from burying-grounds in Egypt
A museum collection catalogue of Coptic and late-antique textiles excavated from Egyptian burial grounds, compiled by A. F. Kendrick for the Victoria and Albert Museum's Textiles Department and printed by H.M.S.O. in London in 1920 for curators, weavers and students. Halftone plates show tapestry squares and bands: roundels with riders, animals, vine scrolls, dot borders and lattice fills, usable as repeat motifs and frames.
