Catalogue raisonné des premières impressions de Mayence (1445-1467) : avec une plance en phototypie
A bibliographic catalogue of the earliest Mainz printing, 1445-1467, compiled by Seymour de Ricci and issued by the Gutenberg-Gesellschaft in Mainz in 1911 for bibliographers, librarians and collectors of incunabula. The plates reproduce small woodcut vignettes from those early presses: pairs of bearded men in soft caps and hoods, facing each other with raised hands mid-argument, drawn in thick uneven outline with crude hatched shading, useful as spot illustrations, initials or coarse-line portrait heads.
