A reissued catalogue raisonné of Dutch, Flemish, and French painters compiled by the London picture dealer John Smith, printed by Sands in 1908 for collectors, dealers, and auction researchers tracking attributions and sale prices. The plates are soft sepia halftones after old-master paintings, mostly cattle and herdsmen in wooded pasture under heavy skies, plus a crayon-style portrait of a painter in a broad hat; useful for tonal backgrounds, livestock silhouettes, and period portrait heads.
