A Dutch-language reference compilation of painting auction catalogues and prices sold in Holland and elsewhere, assembled by Gerard Hoet and continued by Pieter Terwesten, printed at The Hague by P. G. van Baalen in 1752 for collectors, dealers and connoisseurs. The plates here are printers' ornaments rather than pictures: tapering triangular tailpieces built from repeated flower and leaf sorts, plus cast blocks of a rosette-laden stem and a rococo shell cartouche, useful as section dividers, borders and small spot decoration.
