Cathedrals and churches of the Rhine
A 1905 travel-architecture survey of Rhineland cathedrals and churches, written and illustrated by Milburg Francisco Mansfield (pen name Francis Miltoun) for L. C. Page of Boston and aimed at English-speaking tourists. Pen-and-ink elevations of Speyer, Gross St. Martin and village churches use dense parallel hatching for skies and foliage against bare paper walls, alongside tonal plates of Cologne panoramas.
