Cause and prevention of uneven yarn
A 1915 textile trade manual on cotton yarn faults, issued by Clark Publishing in Charlotte, North Carolina, for Southern mill superintendents, overseers and carding-room men. The plates are coarse-screen halftone head-and-shoulders portraits of mill men in sack suits and patterned neckties, printed small and grey on cheap stock, useful for portrait grids, dot-texture collage and period business-card faces.
