The Cemeteries of Abydos
An excavation report on the Abydos cemeteries, published in 1913 by the Egypt Exploration Fund in London and Boston with text by Edouard Naville, T. Eric Peet and H. R. Hall for subscribers and archaeologists. The plates are halftone photographs of pottery bowls, jars, beads and inscribed seals lit against black or white grounds, plus site views of burial jars in open trenches, giving high-contrast vessel silhouettes and rows of small objects usable as catalogue-style arrangements.
