Cercueils anthropoïdes des prêtres de Montou
A catalogue volume of the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, compiled by Henri Gauthier and published in 1913 by the Institut français d'archéologie orientale for Egyptologists and museum staff, recording the anthropoid coffins of the priests of Montu. The plates are halftone photographs of whole coffin lids and cases shot straight on against plain grounds, with detail views of painted wig stripes, inscription columns, winged figures and vignettes, offering symmetrical figure silhouettes and dense bands of hieroglyphic text.
