Checkers
A self-published manual of checkers play and problem positions, written by Lyman Marshall Stearns and issued from Derry Depot, New Hampshire, in 1895 for players studying endgame problems. The plates are square board diagrams drawn with diagonally hatched dark squares, labelled Black at top and White at bottom, with round pieces shown solid or open — usable as geometric pattern, grid, and game-token motifs.
