Checkers; a treatise on the game
A short instructional treatise on checkers written by Alice Howard Cady and issued in 1896 by the American Sports Publishing Company of New York for beginners and club players. The plates are relief-printed board diagrams: high-contrast eight-by-eight grids, some numbered along two edges, with outlined and solid discs marking positions, printed singly or paired across a page.
