Chinesisches Porzellan : seine Geschichte, Kunst und Technik
Ernst Zimmermann's two-volume German survey of Chinese porcelain, published in Leipzig by Klinkhardt & Biermann in 1913 for collectors, museum curators and students of ceramic history. The plates are halftone photographs of single vessels against plain grounds, showing gourd bottles, baluster vases and jars with painted dragons, scrolling foliage, cloud bands and applied openwork handles, offering silhouettes and repeating border motifs that can be traced or isolated.
