Choice emblems, divine and moral, antient and modern; or, Delights for the ingenious, in above fifty select emblems ..
An emblem book of over fifty divine and moral figures compiled by R. B. (Nathaniel Crouch) and printed in London for E. Parker in 1732, aimed at general readers seeking instruction through pictures and verse. The numbered copperplate cuts each place one figure — a plumed gentleman, a torch-bearer, a woman with a set square, a youth pouring water — on a low mound against hatched sky, with tiny background scenes of gallows, soldiers and distant towns.
