The Christians zodiake, or, Twelue signes of predesination unto life euerlasting
An English translation of Jeremias Drexel's Jesuit devotional emblem book on predestination, printed in London by William Willson in 1647 for Protestant and Catholic lay readers. Small numbered copperplates pair a banderole caption with a single emblem — a rose bush, an anchor on a shore, a lone fir, a plant — over hatched skies, useful for hatching textures, scroll labels and isolated plant silhouettes.
