A single-night theatre programme printed in London, Ontario in 1894 for the Grand Opera House, announcing the magician Herrmann the Great and Madame Herrmann and carrying local shop advertising for its audience. The engravings are newspaper-grade line work: a hatched portrait bust of a moustached man, an oval vignette of a woman riding sidesaddle over a hedge, and heavy display-type ad banners with corner ornaments, useful for period advertising layout, ruled borders and cheap letterpress texture.
