Cinch or Pedro and how to play it.
A short rules booklet for the trick-taking game Cinch, or Pedro, issued about 1900 by the United States Playing Card Company for card players and retailers, doubling as a showcase of the firm's own decks. The plates reproduce card backs in dense black-and-white engraving: diaper and lattice grounds, scrolled corner cartouches, rosettes and quatrefoils, and one pictorial back of a sailing yacht framed by anchors and rope, useful as repeat patterns, borders and small centred ornaments.
