Cathedral cities of Spain
An illustrated travel account of Spain's cathedral towns, written and painted by the English watercolourist W. W. Collins and issued in New York by Dodd, Mead in 1909 for English-reading travellers and armchair tourists. The 68 colour plates are loose watercolours of cathedral silhouettes seen across plains, rooftops and river banks, built from ochre, terracotta and pale grey washes with small figures for scale; useful for muted warm palettes, hazy skies and massed architectural profiles.
