A Dutch emblem book of 1726, Claas Bruin's verse commentary on Otto van Veen's Amoris Divini emblemata, engraved by Jacobus Schijnvoet and published in Amsterdam by Theodorus Dankerts for devotional readers. The 64 numbered plates pair a winged Divine Love with a haloed soul in open landscapes, built from dense parallel-line hatching: storm clouds, lightning, radiating sun, towers, bows and arrows, geese and thistles.
