The clinical use of prisms; and the decentering of lenses
A clinical ophthalmology manual by Ernest Edmund Maddox, published in Bristol and London in 1893 for eye surgeons and opticians fitting prisms and decentered lenses. The plates are line diagrams of paired eyeballs with cones of sight, lettered axes and dotted construction lines, the beams filled with close hatching; useful for geometric optical motifs, ruled-fill textures and labelled diagram conventions.
