The coal tar colours of Farbwerke vorm. Meister Lucius & Brüning, Hoechst on Main, Germany and their application in wool dyeing
A dye manufacturer's sample book issued in 1910 by Meister, Lucius & Brüning of Hoechst am Main, published in New York by H. A. Metz for wool dyers and textile buyers. The plates are actual swatches of dyed wool cloth and yarn tipped onto cream card, giving flat fields of olive, brown and near-black with visible twill and herringbone weave texture.
