The coal tar colours of Farbwerke vorm. Meister Lucius & Brüning, Hoechst on Main, Germany and their application in wool dyeing
A 1910 dyer's sample book issued in New York by H. A. Metz for the German dye works Meister, Lucius & Brüning of Hoechst, showing the firm's coal-tar colours for wool dyers and mill buyers. The plates are actual swatches of woven and knitted wool tipped onto cream card — deep blacks flecked with colour, bottle green, oxblood, chestnut brown — useful as saturated colour references and textile texture scans.
