A collector's handbook on numismatics by William Carew Hazlitt, published in London by George Redway in 1896 for amateur coin collectors and dealers. Plates group photographed coins and medals against plain grounds — Roman portrait heads, eagles and seated deities, English ship-and-shield gold, Elizabeth I profiles, square German talers, crowned arms and lettered rims — giving circular emblems, heraldry and inscription bands.
