The coins of Haidar Ali and Tipu Sultan
A numismatic catalogue of the Mysore coinage of Haidar Ali and Tipu Sultan, compiled by J. R. Henderson and printed by the Government Press at Madras in 1921 for collectors and museum curators. Collotype plates show obverses and reverses arranged in rows with numbered captions: elephants, couchant tigers, bulls and elephant-and-standard devices paired with dense Persian and Kannada inscriptions in round and square frames, useful as circular emblems, animal silhouettes and calligraphic borders.
