The coins of the sultáns of Delhi in the British museum
A British Museum departmental catalogue of the coinage of the Delhi sultans, compiled by Stanley Lane-Poole under Reginald Stuart Poole and printed for the Trustees in London in 1884 for numismatists, curators and Indian historians. The plates photograph obverse and reverse pairs of silver and copper coins at varying diameters, lit from one side so the struck Arabic and Persian inscriptions stand up in relief against flat ground, with small figure numbers beneath; usable as circular seal and badge forms, calligraphic texture, and grid arrangements of discs.
