The coins and tokens of the possessions and colonies of the British empire
A numismatic reference catalogue by James Atkins, published in London by Bernard Quaritch in 1889 for collectors and dealers in British colonial coinage. Line engravings show obverse and reverse of each coin side by side, joined by a metal abbreviation: laureate royal profiles, crowned shields, Tudor roses, ship-bearing arms, Latin mottoes and beaded rims, all usable as seals, badges or rosettes.
