A Dutch annual register of medical and natural-philosophical observations compiled by the Amsterdam physician Steven Blankaart and printed by Johan ten Hoorn in 1680 for doctors, apothecaries and curious readers. Small copperplate figures group numbered specimens per page: diseased organs and calculi, conjoined infants, dissected intestines, a starfish and marine creatures, spiders and tarantulas, skull wounds and instruments, alongside foliated woodcut initials.
