Collecting as a pastime
A guide to amateur antique collecting written by Charles Rowed and published by Cassell in London and New York in 1920, aimed at hobbyists buying pewter, pottery, glass and small curios. The plates are halftone photographs of objects ranged in rows on shelves — tankards, jugs, teapots, lustre plates and mugs shown in flat elevation against light or black grounds — useful as silhouette libraries, repeating-object grids and reference for vessel profiles.
