Collection Marczell de Nemes de Budapest
Sale catalogue of the Hungarian collector Marcell de Nemes's paintings, issued by the Galerie Manzi, Joyant in Paris in 1913 with text by Léon Roger-Milès, for collectors and dealers at auction. The plates are sepia and green-toned photogravures of Old Master canvases, mostly Spanish, Italian and Netherlandish religious scenes and portraits, with heavy shadow, soft grain and figures lit against dark grounds, useful for muted monochrome tone, drapery masses and half-length figure groups.
