A Collection of coats of arms borne by the nobility and gentry of the county of Glocester
An engraved armorial for Gloucestershire, cut by Ames and published by J. Good in London in 1792, recording the shields of the county's nobility and gentry for antiquaries and local families. The plates stack hatched shields in vertical columns, each captioned with a surname and seat, giving crisp line-engraved crests, beasts, crosses, chevrons and roundels with the engraved hatching that stands in for tincture.
