Collection of the most remarkable monuments of the National Museum;
A plate volume of engraved outline drawings after antiquities in the National Museum at Naples, edited by Raffaele Gargiulo and published in Naples in 1873 for collectors, antiquarians and art students. The plates unroll painted vase scenes into long friezes of gods, winged figures, warriors and chariots, framed by meander, palmette and egg-and-dart bands, with some vessels drawn whole in profile; the thin, even contour line suits tracing, vector redrawing and border tiling.
