Collection Pacully
A 1900 Paris catalogue of Émile Pacully's picture collection, with essays by Eugène Müntz, Georges Lafenestre, Paul Lefort and Augustin Boyer d'Agen, issued by the Société française d'éditions d'art for collectors, dealers and museum buyers. The plates are photographic reproductions of Flemish, Dutch, Italian and Spanish paintings: flower-garland cartouches around religious scenes, dead game and poultry on stone ledges, harbour views inside grotesque borders, and candlelit tavern parties, usable as dense tonal fields, oval frames and figure groups.
