Color in everyday life; a manual for lay students, artisaus and artists; the principles of color combination and color arrangement, and their applications in dress, home, business, the theatre and community play
A 1918 instructional manual by Louis Weinberg, published in New York by Moffat, Yard and Company, teaching color principles to dressmakers, decorators, artisans and stage designers. The plates are demonstration diagrams: gray squares on light and dark grounds, stepped value scales, soft-edged tonal gradients, and line-ruled isometric cubes, useful as ready-made contrast studies, halftone texture and axonometric line patterns.
