The Comacines, their predecessors and their successors
An architectural history by William Ravenscroft, published in London by Elliot Stock in 1910, tracing the Comacine masons of Como and their building work for Freemasons and students of medieval craft guilds. The plates are halftone photographs of Romanesque churches, apses, campanili and fortified walls in coarse grey screen, useful for brickwork texture, arcaded stonework and silhouetted tower profiles.
