Commercial bookbinding; a description of the processes and the various machines used
A 1910 trade manual by librarian George Arthur Stephen, published in London by W. J. Stonhill for binders, printers and others in the book trade, setting out the processes and machinery of commercial bookbinding. The plates are halftone and line views of individual machines—cutters, folders, casing-in and rounding presses—shown three-quarter on plain grounds, with flywheels, gear trains, treadles and cast frames legible enough to trace as silhouettes or mechanical line art.
