Comparative sensitiveness of some common detectors of electric oscillations

1910 · National Bureau of Standards · 1 picture

A 1910 technical report from the National Bureau of Standards comparing detectors of electric oscillations, written for radiotelegraph engineers and laboratory workers. The plates are plain line schematics printed on cream stock: coils drawn as stacked loops, a bulb-shaped valve with labelled grid, plate and filament, battery cells as rows of alternating strokes, and lettered components (L, C, B, S) that can be lifted as diagram vocabulary or repeating pattern elements.
