A compendium of astronomy;
A school astronomy textbook by Yale professor Denison Olmsted, published in New York by R. B. Collins in 1855 for college and academy students. The 51 figures are small wood-engraved line diagrams: orbits and epicycles, hatched globes, sight lines converging on an observer, radiating sun disks, all lettered with serif keys — useful as geometric ornament, grid armatures, or annotated line motifs.
