A Compilation of splendid ornamental design from foreign works of recent production
A pattern book of ornament issued in London in 1835 by Simpkin and Marshall and J. Weale, reprinting recent Continental designs for cabinetmakers, plasterers, silversmiths and decorative painters. The plates are fine outline engravings: symmetrical ceiling and panel schemes, scrolling acanthus and floral borders, fruit swags, medallions and cartouches, all unshaded line ready for tracing, recolouring or vector redrawing.
