Complete instructions
A lacemaking instruction manual issued in 1912 by the International School of Artistic Cluny Laces through P. Kenda & Co. of Tacoma, Washington, for home and trade students of Cluny bobbin lace. The plates photograph finished numbered samples against black grounds: radial doilies, scalloped collars, and repeating edging strips whose white threadwork reads as high-contrast line ornament for borders, rosettes, and stencil-like motifs.
